Rachael’s record, Quadkids and Para stars!
In the Bill Whistlecroft Athletics Festival at Yeovil on April 1st/2nd, there were good early season signs! Rachael J set a new u20W 1500 S/ch Club Record with 5-41.37. Caitlin B set a new u17W Hammer PB with 46.56m.
Ashia W set an u15G 3000 PB with 11-07.2.
For the Para athletes, Nathan B won the Bikers’ 100/200/800; Marcus P won the CP SM 100 and 200; Heather Rowe won the CP SW Shot / Discus.
Meanwhile, at the BAC John Rumbold Memorial Open at King’s Park on April 2nd., eight u11s took part in the first Quadkids’ competition of 2017. Now realising his potential, Harley T WON the boys’ event with a brilliant 235 points. Reflecting her indoor success, Jaya C finished an excellent 2nd. in the girls’ competition with 189 points, achieved over the four events.
BAC Open results are on the Bournemouth AC site today. We publish 11/04.
