Adam earns S-W Gold Medal in Cardiff Open!
On Saturday, Jan 19th, at the Cardiff Met, GP2 Non-Thomas Open Meeting, Adam Booth ran in two events. These meetings stage multiple heats which are often mixed age-groups.
In the M400m, Adam won Heat 5 in 54.73 which is not far from his best indoor performance. In the U20M 60m Hurdles Heat 1, he placed third in a new PB of 8.52, an improvement of 0.11 secs, which in such a short race is huge!
In so doing, he was also the best u20M from the South-West and thus earned a gold medal. As when he does multi-events, it proves again that determination and committed, hard work mostly brings improvement and success. Well done, him! And the driver!
Sportshall Dates. PLEASE NOTE CAREFULLY!
- We hope to finish the programme on Jan. 27th. by 3.00 pm.
- Athletics 365 is a certificated scheme in which the athlete has to reach the standard in a series of tests. The idea is that they will have shown a basic ability for running, jumping, throwing, hurdles and relay. Any of our u11s and u13s are capable of achieving these standards and thus gaining a certificate and wristband! It is the foundation of what we then go onto outdoors from March 2nd. It will need two full sessions.
- The Regional Final at Paignton, Torbay, is on Sat, March 9th.
