Melissa C leads for Euro XC Relay Gold!
At the Euro XC Championships in Slovakia on Dec 10th there was an inaugural Senior Mixed Relay. Melissa Courtney, daughter of Mark and coached by Mark Pauley, ran a strong opening 1500m leg for GB and the other three members of the team brought home a victory. Thus ended a very successful Cross-Country weekend for the GB team.
Wessex XC League Match 4 at Bryanston
On one of the coldest days of the year and running on a combination of mud bath and ice bath, 21 juniors and 9 seniors took on a serious hilly, country challenge. It was unfortunate that a number of our and other athletes on the day wore inadequate clothing for the conditions and were thus on the verge of hypothermia by the end. Nevertheless, Will R, Josh S, Emelie C and Ashia W, Ben L and Harry H, Issy T, and Amy Bond all finished in the top three of their age-group races, with four winners!

In the Aggregate results:– In u11B, Ethan was 16/29, Benjamin 17=/29. In u11G, Jaya was 11=/31 and Isla 16=/31. In u13B William was 1/10. In u15G Issy was 10/15. In SW Amy was 1/12, Claire 6 and Jane 8. SW Team was 1/3. In SM the Team was 3/8, James 6/31, Paul 7, Simon 17; also Ray Q 20, David R 29, Nigel H 31. With complete teams in earlier matches we may have done more!
