Magazines are there for you to peruse and get updates

The top Athletics magazine in UK (Athletics Weekly) is provided for you in the HQ, supplied from a personal, annual subscription.   If you have not used that facility yet, please use the public, “lounge” area soon.

We produce a Club article in the monthly, free “LINK” magazine, usually delivered to all local households.  Although the copy for it has to be with the editors mid-month for the following month, it is a useful source of results and future plans.

Upcoming Cross-Country match

Next Saturday, January 25th, we will be represented at the annual Southern (Clubs) Championships on the famous course staged on Parliament Hill in north London. To check about this please contact Mark Pauley (junior chairman).

Sportshall County Championships

These will be held next Saturday afternoon in the Sports Hall at Canford School, starting at 2 pm. It was good to see more u11s and u13s attend training last Saturday.  These Championships are individual events inasmuch as they do not produce TEAM points, nor a TEAM result.  As published before, any young athlete (u11, u13 or u15) wishing to be entered should contact Alison Parish (junior membership) NOW!

Fundraising for Poole Athletic Club

Even if you have not tried before, we urge you to try, at least once, to increase the funding for the Club – without any risk or extra cost to you – by doing some on-line business via a company which is registered with www.easyfundraising.org.uk  There are more than 3500 such companies, so please have a look and see.  Thanks to all those who already do!

Finally a Sportshall reminder!

Because of the County Championships next Saturday, THERE WILL BE NO SESSION AT ASHDOWN.  We will be back there on Saturday, February 1st at 4.15 pm.
