Tough and tricky at Yeovil in the Wessex rain!

A tough course, made trickier in the wet conditions, faced the runners at Aldon Park near Yeovil on Sunday, November 4th.  This was Match 3 of the 2018 Wessex Cross-Country League series of four.  The performances of athletes like Ashia, Lexie, Nancy, Edwin and Leo led their teams home but all did the best they could in the conditions. All 23 juniors pushed themselves and would be of points value in a team situation.  Most encouraging was the enthusiasm and commitment of the 12 u11s, and thanks to their parents! The final challenge will come on the grounds of Bryanston School on December 16th.  Match 4 races run parallel to the Dorset County Championships for all those who have entered separately for the County events.  All athletes who have already competed in any of the previous three Wessex matches are registered to run in Match 4 at Bryanston: any new runners need to get Mark Pauley (Junior Committee >>>) to register them by December 8th.
