Tom’s first England XC vest – in Spain!

Tom Austin raced for England in an early-season International fixture in Burgos, Spain, on Sunday, November 11th. He finished 67th in the Senior Mens race with a time of 00:28:24 for the 9 KM course. This was Tom’s first England vest and rewards his work and consistently good performances on the country.

News from the British Cross Challenge II

Three Poole Athletic Club athletes competed in the British Cross Challenge Match II, which was staged at the Teardrops Lake in Milton Keynes on November 10th (the BX races were held in conjunction with the latest round of the Chiltern XC League). William Rabjohns, who is recovering from a leg injury, finished 3rd this time, out of 23 runners in the U13B race. His time for the 2.9 KM course was 00:09:18 (winner 00:09:12). His sister Isobel ran in the U15G race and finished 24th out of 26 in 00:17:11 for the 4.15 KM course (winning time 00:14:30).

Ben Lewis ran in the U20M race and finished 31st out of 39 in 00:18:59 for the 5.6 KM course (winning time 000:16:50. In reading this please remember that this is a BRITISH series!). The next match will be at Sefton Park, Liverpool on November 24th.

Results from Hants XC Match 2 at Aldershot!

Wellesley Woodlands had rain, hail, mud, and all the joys of Cross-Country. Even so, over 740 runners faced the Poole Athletic Club athletes! Well done the 6 Juniors and 14 Seniors who finished! Vet Men continue to lead!
