Melissa added to “Olympic Potentials” list!
Last week we heard that Melissa Courtney has been added to the list of funded “Olympic Potential” athletes, as published by EA (and should be P of 10). This great recognition is reward for her dedication and steady progress in performance as witnessed at her 2018 races in the Commonwealth Games in Australia, winning a bronze in the W1500m, and then within a week placing 9th in the W5000m. She followed this with her bronze placing in the Fifth Avenue Mile in September. Some of you will have had the chance to talk to her and see her Commonwealth Games medal up close at Ashdown! We hope this shows where hard work can take you and inspires you to keep working and trying!

On December 1st there will be 43 awards presented to individuals at the Liberal Club in Wallisdown (Kinson Road, junction with Canford Avenue) at BH10 4DG. Adequate parking nearby. Please be there by 6.45pm. Guest presenters, food, drink, disco, be happy and come to celebrate the achievements of YOUR club!
