News from BUCS Cross-Country at Edinburgh!

There were three PAC members competing in the British Universities and Colleges Cross-Country Championships in Edinburgh last Saturday, February 1^st.

In the Mens’ “Long Race”, Ben Lewis (u20M) finished 61^st (of 337 finishers) in 35-06.  A short distance ahead of him was local (Weymouth) athlete and fellow-steeplechaser Ben Westhenry in 47^th. International athlete Mohamed Mohamed (Southampton AC) won in 32-06.

In the Womens’ “Short Race”, Abi Jones finished 83^rd (of 495 finishers) in 25-55. Izzy Taylor came in 112^th in 26-32.   The winner clocked 22-06. In the Womens’ “Long Race”, the winner was international athlete Jess Judd in 28-49, with Wimborne AC athlete Grace Copeland in 14^th, clocking 30-36!

So you will understand that this annual event is high-quality and very important to the BUCS Athletics community!
