OUR CLUB
Poole AC has existed for more than 100 years to serve the athletes of the area. Poole AC activities include Road and Off-Road Running, Cross Country and Track & Field Leagues. We have a busy calendar of events, training and social sessions. Everyone from 8 upwards is welcome, irrespective of ability. We’ll provide qualified coaches, encouragement and a friendly atmosphere.
Mission Statement
Poole Athletic Club is committed to supporting all aspiring athletes and runners in the development of their athletic talent and running fitness; and to helping them fulfil their potential whilst sustaining a fun, friendly and safe coaching environment.
Attainments By Our Athletes In Recent Times
1 athlete competed for Team GB in the women’s 1500m final of the World Athletics Championships in Hungary, and in the Diamond League final
1 athlete competed at the European Junior Championships in Israel for Team GB
1 athlete competed for Great Britain at the World XC Championships in Australia
1 athlete competed for Great Britain in the World Student Games Cross Country in Oman
1 athlete competed for England in the Commonwealth Youth Games in Trinidad
2 athletes competed for England Juniors in International Cross Country fixtures
9 athletes competed for Dorset at the English Schools Track & Field Championships
1 wheelchair athlete competed internationally in the World Para Grand Prix Fixture
4 athletes selected for The South West at the London Mini Marathon 2024
Several athletes competed in their age group for GB in Biathele and Modern Pentathlon
1 athlete selected for England Juniors in an International 10k Road Race in Italy
1 athlete represented England in the GB Masters Half Marathon Championships
JUNIORS
From the ages of 8 to 18 and all abilities and backgrounds, our thriving juniors section take part in everything from track and field through to Sportshall and cross country.
SENIORS
It doesn’t matter what your ability level is, if you’re aged over 18 and want to join a friendly athletics club, there will be something for you at Poole AC.
PARA ATHLETICS
Our para athletes train and compete in disability athletics from wheelchair racing through to track and field and welcome people of all ages and abilities.
POOLE JOGGERS
