Senior Running Training Sessions
Due to the Government relaxation of the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, and following guidance from England Athletics, it is currently possible for sports clubs to organise groups of up to six people to exercise in the open air together. A number of our members have expressed interest in resuming Tuesday and Thursday night training runs and the Poole AC run leaders have held meetings to produce policy documents and guidance about hosting some sessions for you.
From Tuesday 7th July, a number of our run leaders will start some training sessions, but will restructure them to avoid everyone meeting up in the same place, and they will select quiet parks or quiet roads to run in. There will be no track sessions.
Please note the following:
- Current COVID-19 restrictions by the Government and EA, see our updates here>>>
- The sessions will ONLY be open to paid-up members of Poole AC.
- As there is a limit to the people running with each run leader, it is necessary to have a booking system. This will operate on a first-come first-served basis.
- You will only be allowed to book a session via the website (at the link below), please do not use social media to try and arrange a session. We need to record details of who is attending for Covid-19 test and trace purposes.
If the rules become more restrictive again, then we will adjust our sessions accordingly.
To book a training session, please click the button below. This will take you to a login screen where you will be required to log in with the email address you supplied when you joined the club. If you cannot remember your password, click on the “Forgot your password?” link and you will receive an email enabling you to reset your password. If you have not yet renewed your membership and wish to join a training session, send your remittance to the Membership Secretary and you will then be allowed to participate.
