TEAM DORSET consistent in LAG, but…!

13 PAC athletes helped Team Dorset to place 4th again (of 7) in their second UKYDL LAG (u13 and u15) match, at Aldershot on May 20. However, with just one more qualified official accompanying the team, we could have obtained 25 more points and placed 3rd. Our athletes did their best in the situation, as did those from the other two Team Dorset clubs, but the u13 boys lacked a hurdler and two high jumpers and quality in other events due to many athletes being unavailable. We may not be able to match the top two clubs, but with a full team of our (combined) best athletes we could make a better challenge. And the continued need for qualified officials is self-evident – a full set of 7 officials being worth 55 points per team, i.e. 7 x 5 = 35, plus bonus of 20 = 55! (PBs)
