Another record for Jed Skilton, this time 1500!

In the BMC Graded Meeting at Watford last Saturday, May 26, Jed Skilton set another Club Record, this time in the u20M 1500m.    In Race F he placed 3rd out of 13 in 3-57.22.   As a reward for his intensive training he is gradually accumulating u20 Club records and setting new standards for his peers!

More Endurance PBs due this week

With PAC athletes attending BMC and other graded meetings at Exeter (tonight) and Watford tomorrow, we anticipate further personal improvements as school-age athletes try to set English Schools’ (ESAA) standards leading up to County Schools’ championships on June 9th.  Dorset’s at King’s Park, starting at 10.00 am.

Concern about match participation

As season follows season, we wonder why – with the numbers we have at training every week – we struggle to field full teams for some fixtures. There are half-terms and exams as always, but that only explains part of the perceived problem. So what else, especially when we provide a planning calendar in advance of the start of each season?  We would appreciate comments from athletes and parents!

If you live fairly near Ashdown and receive a monthly copy of the “LINK” magazine, please read p.40 of the June issue (out now).  It makes clear how much we appreciate the efforts of time, money, etc. put in by parents (and athletes) already!

Next matches:-
