English Schools’ Cross-Country Championships, Pontefract Racecourse, Yorkshire
Eight of Poole AC’s cross-country runners represented Dorset Schools on the sloping Pontefract Racecourse, one of the longest such circuits in Europe. Will Rabjohns followed up his seventh place in the Inter-Counties by matching that same position again. Charlie Collins (27th in the intermediate boys) and Erin Wells (39th in the senior girls) also led their respective Dorset squads home; with Polly Evans also achieving a top 100 finish.

Podium 5km, Leicester
Melissa Courtney-Bryant finished fifth in what appears to have been an exclusive elite women’s race. She hadn’t raced the distance since 2017, so her time of 15:27 was a personal best by half a minute. In the men’s rankings, we had:
