World Cross Country Championships
Ed Bird represented GB and Ireland in the 8km U20 race in Bathurst, Australia. He finished in an excellent 18th position (first of the Europeans) in a time of 26:10.
UK Athletics Indoor Championships
Melissa Courtney-Bryant gained her second senior British Indoor title in a very tight finish. In the Women’s 3,000m she crossed the line in first place in 8:50.76, just ahead of second-placed Hannah Nuttall in 8:50.85.
