Great Britain Duathlon Team

Congratulations to Emily Hilliar who has qualified for the Great Britain Duathlon Team. This is her story in her own words:

On March 19th I qualified to represent my age group for Great Britain in the Duathlon World Championships 2024 in Australia. It has taken a lot of dedication and hard work to get to this point and I just can’t really believe it right now. Running, particularly road racing had been my main focus for the last 5/6 years. I began to cycle seriously about 2 years ago. I found the combination of the two disciplines suited my body and helped prevent me from developing injuries. The sprint duathlon is the perfect event for me. As it combines both running and cycling at a fast pace!

I’m honoured to be able to represent my country on the world stage. I can’t wait to continue my training and for the further progressions I hope to make. Please follow my story @emily_runbikerun on Instagram.

As part of my training for the Duathlon World Champs in 2024, I am aiming to break x25 Parkrun Age Category records. I will be travelling around the UK taking part in various parkruns. Each time I will be aiming to set a new Age Group Female Record. This is all in aid of Dorset Mind Charity.
