Three Poole AC teams in National Road Relays!

Eleven PAC athletes travelled to Birmingham to take part in the English RRA National Autumn 3-stage Junior Road Relays. Each leg was 3.88 kms. A typical autumn day in Sutton Park produced excellent performances by the hundreds of athletes. The junior races were part of a bigger Meeting which included Seniors, i.e. a massive event. The u15B achieved arguably the best team result with 74 teams starting, 62 teams finishing, and our team ranking 8th of those teams. The u17W ‘A’ team ranked 7th of the 37 complete teams and, promisingly, the u13G ranked 20th of 48 complete teams. Please note that, e.g. in the u13G race, 61 ran Leg 1, but only 55 ran Leg 2, and only 48 finished; so 13 starting teams were incomplete, i.e. had only 1 or 2 runners. Similarly with our u17W ‘B’ team. That gave experience to more young athletes! In the u15B race, Will R had the 7th fastest time of the 206 runners involved. In the u17W race, Emilie C had the 10th fastest leg of the 129 women who raced. Class!
