This year we are holding FIVE different championships! Compete against other club members to win an award. Races take place across Dorset and include everything from 1 mile through to marathons.

Your best 5 races in the year will count towards your final position. For the Poole Runners Upton Summer Series Time Trials, only your best event is taken into account.

Junior parkrun Challenge

New to 2026 – the Junior parkrun Challenge which invites junior club members to compete across five months (July–November) by accumulating age-graded scores from the junior (2k) parkrun events.

Participants must be registered junior parkrunners (Age 4-14) and Poole AC must be listed as a group in your parkrun profile.

All parkrun results completed between 1st July and 30th November are eligible. Participants are encouraged to join these local junior parkruns organised by Annie Galanti, where 5 bonus points are available:
1. Sunday, August 16 – Slades Farm Junior parkrun
2. Sunday, September 20 – The Great Field Poundbury Junior parkrun
3. Sunday, October 18 – Moors Valley Junior parkrun
4. Sunday, November 22 – Upton House Junior parkrun

Scoring System:
• Scoring Metric: Age-graded percentage from each parkrun completed
• Total Score: The 4 highest age-graded percentages achieved during the challenge period are added together
• Maximum Possible Score: 400 (4 × 100%)

Your best 6 races in the year will count towards your final position.

Dorset parkrun Series

Once again, Poole AC is holding the popular Dorset parkrun (5k) series. With the addition of Highcliffe Beach to the parkrun family, there will be a total of 10 parkruns in Dorset for you to run, and we have spread the dates out over the year. You will need 6 parkruns to count and, to make the series a bit different, the final results will be based on your age grading, not your finish position. Make sure you are registered with parkrun as a member of Poole AC and wear your club colours to run. These events are usually very social and our members frequently stay for coffee and cake afterwards!
